Josef Bryks, a fighter pilot of the RAF, risked his life hundreds of times during the WW II. After being shot down he encouraged his fellows in the POW camp with seven breakout attempts. The communist regime rewarded his merits with the most sever and cruel prison and work in uranium mines. In 1957 at the age of 41 he was tortured to death. He served 13 years in prison. The laureate of the Order of British Empire was fully rehabilitated only in 2006. the film is a documentary portrait about his bravery and life.
